Dell stops shipping Windows XP downgraded machines as of October 22nd!

What does this mean to a Citrus Computers client?  This means Dell had taken it upon themselves to stop shipping Windows 7 downgraded PC’s as of October 22nd.  This will force their computer users into Windows 7 regardless of compatibility issues.

Nearly a year after the Windows 7 the OS is extremely friendly to all business environments however many of Citrus Computers clients have been slow to adopt the new flavor of Windows.

Why are they doing this?  It’s all about limiting support….driver compatibility and R&D will be cut way down!

Where do you go from here?  If your company prefers Dell machines and you have to be on the Windows XP Professional platform you may want to start budgeting for new machines prior to the 10/22/10 cutoff date, beacause once it hits you will need to journey to other brands like Lenovo or HP to facilitate your order.
