7 Maintenance tips for your notebook

Many new notebook users make mistakes in maintaining a notebook.  Repairs can be very costly, but here are a few ways to get a long life out of your new laptop.

1.Be careful of where your laptop jack plugs in.  The wrong type of pressure to this portion of the notebook can cause you power adapter to stop working or even your battery to no longer charge.  In the even this repair is needed, Citrus Computers will be able to help.

2. Do not put your laptop on a soft surface like bed, carpeting or chairs with a lot of foam.  This can cause a bad flow of air at the bottom and sides of the notebook causing overheating or processor failure.

3. If you download software from the Internet, do not be careless. If you are unsure about the validity of the software always scan the downloaded files with your antivirus software.

4. Do not place any objects between the keyboard and laptop screen. Put objects between the keyboard and laptop screen is very dangerous, because the risk of scratches on the screen. Obviously, you do not want to replace a laptop screen that just scratched.

5. Choose a quality notebook bag!  Use, specifically bags for laptops and more importantly the size screen of the unit you own., so choose a notebook bag that will give you the best support and keep your laptop free of any damage.

6. Keep drinks far away from your computer!  This can be very dangerous to your electronic components.  If the liquid is spilled onto the keyboard, it can cause serious damage to not only the keyboard….but the mainboard or screen.

7. Do not put your laptop in hot areas.  This can be the main killer of electronic components.
